All well.

I am too tired to ride today. I wonder why :-) ?

Radar is well, with clean cool legs. Even the back one that used to throw up a windgall after a heavy ride is absolutely fine.

I have been clearing stones out of the barn from where we used a load of soil from some work outside to bump up the surface which had got a bit thin. Unfortunately it's got loads of stone in it, but I do need it to create a solid surface in the pen that we made them, so it kills two birds with one stone, as it were.

Anyway, whenever I stood still for a rest, Radar walked up behind me and rested his chin on my shoulder next to my face. Very gently. I think he is a happy boy, who knows he's in my good books today !!

Unusually, Jazz also seems very happy and I can't help wondering if he knows that the two of them have two very different jobs to do, and that I love each of them. He has always been such a jealous boy before, but something is different.

I am already planning next Saturday, I just can't help it.

I'm so pleased for you both, the post about him coming over to you to "share space" speaks volumes. He clearly loves hunting as much as you do. What a great outing. Fantastic news. Well done one and all.

I feel so lucky Tracey. He's going to be the best hunter I ever rode, I think. I used to have a big horse called Basil who jumped huge hedges, but he didn't have Radar's joie de vivre or his speed across country. Tetley would have been the best ever, but I always rested him in the winter.

Very cool stuff - glad everything is going so well with both horses!

How cool is that!! My Russel uesed to rest his chin on my shoulder. I always considered it something special Clearly Radar is appreciating his new life with you.

And great that Jazz is so accepting. Apparently, as you suggest, he does not see Radar as a rival.

But what about Button? Does he rest his chin on your...uhm...ankle? *L*

Such fabulous weather too Nic, a bit too hot for hunting if we're honest, but I'm not complaining.

Button shoves his nose wherever he can get it Jean :-) !

Thanks Kate, I hope it continues for a while.
