And there's more!

Cor blimey, I've just got another inch off him and he still has more than half an inch left to keep him warm. I thought it might make him look neater - but if anything it's worse!! I've had less hair off a 17 hand horse, never mind off a 9 hand pony clipped for the second day running :-0 That's it now, the clipper blades are completely blunt and will have to be sharpened before they will do another stroke.

I'm going off to work to get some rest :-)

I wonder if he will grow a coat like that again next year once he is well fed and well cared for.

Poor little guy. No wonder he was itching on every pillar and post.

I figured the blades would get dull on that job. Sometimes, if the horse is super clean you can get away with a number of clips before they go, but with a coat like Buttons' and a little dust in there....enough said. I'm sure he doesn't care how he looks. He just feels better!

The stories about Button always make me laugh! It's hard to believe that he is 9 hands, that's more than half Tetley's size. He seems like a quarter of Tetley to me.

He's half as high, half as wide and half as long - so that makes him one eighth of Tetley ML :-))) I reckon that's about right. Tetley is about 750kg and Button is less than 100kg.

He's absolutely adoring having his back sratched now I can get through the coat Jean. He wrinkles up his little nose and twists his head about in ectasy - I'll get you a photo when SH is home to take it.

They are out for the first time this year tonight because it is so dry and still. I've put his rug on - with an adjustment made of cable ties taking out the slack at the neck so that he doesn't trip over it :-))))

it's just like bunny fur, isn't it Nicola? I've never seen it on any other horse I've clipped.
