It's a go.
I have walked Rodbaston in the sunshine and it's OK. There is a big double of logs at fence THREE which I think is a bit unfair, it's a pre-novice fence too, that's how big it is. Still, if we do that OK the rest should be fine.
The showjumping is up to height but also has a load of horrible fillers and wings. We will have to hope that George is not spooky about that kind of thing, because they really are some of the worst I've seen.
No-one got any attention today, I was too wound up to do anyone justice if I rode. I'm about to go out and clean George up and keep him in overnight so that I don't have to get out of bed before 5am tomorrow morning!

Never know why they make an early season course so challenging. Personally, I think it should build gradually in "problems" as the season goes on.
Still in all, most of the difficulties are posed by appearances rather than size or physical complexity??? I am sending George "bravery" vibes with lots of brilliant colors.
Do tell him to have fun, because that's what he thinks it's all about. You're the only one making it work.
Immediate posting of results as soon as you get back tomorrow. I will be checking the blog regularly during the day. (Will calculate the exact time difference and imagine you on course at the correct moment...unless I am still in bed, which I think I will be. *G*)

There is nothing complex on the course, but one or two whoppers of maximum height and size. The double at three is one of the biggest fences which is a shame so early on, but at least it's plain straightforward tree trunks.
