Revenge?

I forgot to put Campero's rug on him last night.  He has a stable to sleep in so it wasn't a disaster - except that he got his own back by shredding the rug that he was supposed to be wearing. He didn't even have the grace to look ashamed of himself.

We have just been out for a walk down the road amongst all the Easter butterflies in their cars and on their bikes, with motors and without. He is, I would say, around 25-30% more comfortable on stones today than he was yesterday. A noticeable improvement, anyway. I am really hoping that this is just progress, and not to do with the fact that I have soaked his supposed-to-be-haylage-came-out-more-like-hay for 24 hours now. I will continue to soak it for the next three days, and if there has been a big improvement in that time we will have to conclude that he can't manage the sugars in grass. If not, I can breathe a sigh of relief at reducing the workload again and feed it dry! If the jury is still out after 4 days then I'll feed him it dry and see if he goes more sensitive to stones again. Other people report that these reactions happen really quickly so that should be time enough to tell.

I'd really love to do something with Jazz but it there was a hailstorm this morning, it's still very cold, threatening rain and I am now tired from walking my big white dog three miles. Maybe later.
