Wobblebelly

Just an update today, I've been at work. No yellow tights or anything else exciting this time :-)

I was watching Buttie walk up the field this morning and his fat little belly swings from one side to the other as he walks. Then he hits the concrete and stomps across it with a beautiful heel-first landing on super little feet with no trace whatsoever of laminitis and I just smile. He is so cute!

I have taught him "ask" where he waves a paw, but he isn't getting the hang of "bow" at all and has made no progress. I don't know whether to carry on with "bow" or try and teach him a different trick. Mmmmmmm, these schooling decisions.

I was very pleased with Radar yesterday because his ability to march up and down the stony track to get to our interval training field has gone up an order of notches. He is balancing himself on his back end really well. In just over a week we have the hunt fun ride, which will test him in company for the first time. I am really looking forward to that.

I'm also going to look for Jazz's next competition, one where I can do two tests. If necessary I'll do a medium. He can't get the medium trot and extended trot, but he can do the rest fine and we'll see how the judge thinks he's going.
