Good morning!
This is what greets me every morning when I go outside. Is it any wonder I spend the rest of the day smiling?
Jazz is OK this morning. He has a strong pulse and heat in the foot but he is less lame. I think he may just have a bruise. I'm pretty certain he does not have anything to worry about, like a pulled tendon. Just a couple of days standing around in the natural poultice of a cold wet field, and he'll be fine, I expect. This is why I wouldn't hunt him until we had exhausted every other option for training him - it's an activity that just begs to cause injuries. When you jump in mud you have no idea what's buried in it. I felt him "give" on that foot about half an hour before we finished so I expect that's when he trod on something :-(

I'm tellin'ya, that manure tub was planned as a stepstool. That little face is up to no good for sure. *lol* How cute is that?
Good news about Jazz. Not at all a surprise considering the footing and the mud. Send him my best for a fast recovery.
Ahh, when I had a little 11'2" pony he did that, only we had ledge and brace stable doors and he managed to stand on the bottom ledge to make himself taller. Clever little fella. I know what you mean about them making you smile. Mine used to grab my mare's rug's tailflap with his teeth and pull, wait for her to play kick him then they'd both hoon about the field like 2 year olds. He'd run under her tummy if he could as well. I really miss that spectacle, I can imagine how much you're enjoying it.
Glad Jazz is OK.

he's almost smiling at you himself, isn't he?
now what will he get up to once he's really settled in? LOL
Oh it gets worse :-) When I was picking out Jazz's right fore this morning, Buttie was on his left side, and his nose was touching my face. Two friends came to see him today and are smitten. The aren't even horse people.
Good news from Jazz tonight. His leg is cold and hard after a day in the field, and he looks sound.
