Even Noah would be fed up by now!
The forecast was for a dry day. So why did it pour harder than it did yesterday? I didn't think Jazz or Zip should do the barn again, but I tried George's slow walk therapy again and it worked very well again. He got a bit fractious when I changed rein but I just made him walk ve e e ry slowly, held the contact lightly and flicked him with the whip to send up to it. I would have expected him to blow up, but instead he got the message that being asked to go on is a matter of engagement and not of speed. I think that is a big lesson he needs to learn, and he seems to be getting there slowly.
He really needs some trotting up hills and cantering to get him fit to hunt, but I haven't got a hope in this weather. The forecast is drier for tomorrow (so what!?) but I am at work. They are in again tonight so I'll have to muck out as well as getting up early to catch my train. S*d's law says it will be a wonderful day weatherwise and I will have a day that doesn't end until after five when we normally finish before three.

caroline, what's all this about a spring at your front door? that's ridiculous, hope you manage to keep it out of the house!
OK, we did dry out, after over 4 inches of rain.
I can only hope the leftover storm is NOT headed across the Atlantic. It is the last thing you guys need over there.
Good for George. He manages to learn some things despite himself.
Well it undermines the conservatory foundations a bit and no doubt it will fall down one day Claire :-)
Umm, from the forecast I've just seen for the week ahead, it's on its way to us Jean!
