Snowed in now.
We are good and proper snowed in now. We've just come home in the car and it slid from the top of the hill to our gateway with all four wheels locked all the way. I know because I got out at the top to make sure it was clear to go down, and when I went to get back in the car Allan couldn't make it stop and it slid away down the hill. So I walked home :-)
I rode Jazz this morning, indoors of course, and he was superb. He has completely got the hang of walk to canter left now, with a fantastic transition. I shall be working towards teaching him canter to walk now. His lateral work was also superb and his trot to die for. Every time I groom him I think "how did I buy this carthorse, he's far more heavy than I wanted?" and every time I ride him he is as light as gossamer, lighter than the lightest TB I've ever sat on.
There is no chance whatsoever of me getting out tomorrow morning in the lorry, so don't hold your breath for a report :-) I'm not too worried, I think he learned far more from our session on Tuesday than he does in one clear round attempt.

ps the cats are all going ape now. Bored to tears because they won't go out in the white-out. Sitting on my keyo2qi5q84853board, ripping up the curtains and generally making fools of themselves :-)

I am feeling bettre, thanks. Stayed home anyhow because I was kind of woozy. Will likely have to drive to the vet's later to pick up my horse wormer. Cold here, but no snow. However, rumors were flying about a storm coming across the country. Hope not. I would rather live vicariously through your reports of cars sliding down the hill than experience it for myself.
However, I will make sure the tractor starts in case I have to dig out.
Jazz is a honey. Nothing like a big horse that floats. So many of them look heavy to ride.
Yes, I do envy the indoor in the back yard. I loved having one to ride in when I boarded out, but having the horses home is so much better I figured I grit my teeth and bear the days I'd lose. Then again, I can always win the lottery. *G*

my new kitten doesn't care, he's just pleased to be out (7 months old now, hadn't been out at all before at his previous place, now going in all the neighbours as well as up our tree...)
What's he like Claire? Colour? Breed (ours are all "farm moggies")?
Did the tractor start Jean? We could do with borrowing it if so - we have drifts up to three feet high in the yard!
