Looking good
Tia's splint is either a knock and not a true one, or it's no problem anyway. She isn't remotely sore on it trotting on the road, or having it poked and prodded. So we should be on our way to Draycott. Times 11.50, 12.38 and 13.20. I may only have managed to get to two so far, but the times have been superb!
We went out for a hack and she was again wedded to her forehand. When she does that, her stride gets short and she feels like riding a pony! I hate it!!! So I am constantly nagging her to stay in front and reach into the rein. I don't like constant nagging either, but she'll get the message in the end. And she is so much bigger to ride when she swings her back properly.
Tetley is maaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrginally improved. But still lame. Still happy though!
I have seen Caddy move in the field today. Either he was showing off (as they do!) or ... his movement is as good as Smartie's was. Certainly he was full of suspension having a little trot around out there. Tomorrow his feet should be good enough to let me trot him up for Emma and Tam to see, and we'll form a judgement about just how well he really does move.
I have borrowed Linda's hand held Equissage massage machine to use on the lump. I think that it may help a lot. He certainly didn't mind it and it did seem to do something to break the lump down a bit.
He was a clever boy today. He followed Tetley in and put himself in his stable without being told to. Tia still doesn't do that!

ps for foot fetishists - Tia shares something with Casper - she has bits of separation between the inner and outer hoof wall. In little pockets, the outer will peel back, leaving a decent width of inner before the white line. It's very odd and I have only ever seen it in those two horses. I am still booting her on the back for road work because her hinds are shallower than I would like, especially the left one.

That sounds very much like what Saff has on her hind feet at the moment. Also if you remember when you put a breakover on her feet the area in front of the white line was a bit ragged, it had little cracks either in the hoof wall itself or between the inner and outer wall. On her fronts at the moment the cracks are getting tiny, tiny holes in and on her hinds which have become unbalanced there is a pocket which starts at the middle of her toes on both feet and goes round about an inch to the outside. I thought it was stretched white line to start with but on closer inspection it's the inner and outer wall that have separated, just like you describe. onder what causes it? I certainly feel a lot better knowing it isn't just Saff anyway!!
Those times are great! My show rides (or my trainer's rides) were 4 hours apart! Good thing Tucker is an angel standing in the trailer.
By the way, he scored a 57% in the first test (one rider error) and a 61% in the second test earning a 4th and a 2nd. (US First Level Tests 3 & 4) He needed more energy, but was obedient and consistent. Guess I will try him out myself next time since he behaved pretty well in the warmup where all our trouble usually starts.
In the meantime, I can wait with bated breath to see how Tia does in her second time out. And, to hear that Caddy is a breathtaking mover for real!

I will be thinking of you at Draycott when I am trundling up and down in my tractor. Hope it all goes well. At least the going should be reasonable!

I suspect the cause of the inner/outer separation may be unequal hoof growth between the two. I know that some people dislike biotin supplementation because it makes one (the inner (?) grow and not the other. And I can see that this may cause it. I don't know if Casper was supplemented but I suspect he was. I'm sure Tia was. Did you supplement Saff?
Caddy is still not sound enough for action shots, but soon, honest.
