Fit fit fit
Radar is fit fit fit. We did a long hack with a rise of about 300 feet in it, so lots and lots of hills (because you don't just go up 300 feet, you go up 200 and come down 100, up 50 and come down 100 and so on.... It was a cold but totally calm day and we both enjoyed ourselves. He still does not stride out with as loose a back as I would like, but he is improving. He also did some nice shoulder in on the way home :-)
It started to snow (again!!!) this afternoon and my plan to ride Jazz went out of the window in favour of a cup of coffee with a friend. I'll ride him tomorrow morning instead.
Meanwhile lets hope the rain, currently washing away the snow, doesn't turn white and fluffy again.

too dratted cold, that's for sure! at least you didn't have slippy ice to contend with, that's never fun..
I am so tired of the cold myself. It's been a long time since we've had a winter here with such long periods of cold temps. We has a coating of snow this morning, but nothing to really mess up the footing too much.
Having a super fit horse like that is such a great feeling. It makes you truly appreciate the strength and power these creatures have, to say nothing of the endurance. Bet Radar made the hills feel as if they were simply more flat ground. I don't have much in the way of hills around here.
Claire there were blankets of ice but the gritter had been out and bits of the road were clear to get over them and the rest was fine.
This is the toughest winter in the 19 winters we've had here Jean.
