I didn't ride until after dark today and RadaR was quite twitched by the lights. He hopped around when I got on and wanted to march off everywhere at a hundred miles an hour. He settled OK after a while and did his best ever trot transitions today. I'm not saying they were good, mind! Just that you could at least see how they could progress into something good. It was a good session, for an indoor one, for him.
Jazz just did some walk stretching and a bit of trot/walk/trot. I felt he just needed a nice relaxed non-collected session today.
The pair of them were very sweet and attentive, though that may be because they are eating like ... well .... horses. They are getting through a whole bale of haylage every 24 hours. Until the ground gets wet, they have the choice of staying in the barn or being out in the field. From the amount of poo I'm picking up it's clear that they are spending a lot of time in the barn. That's nice, because I won't feel guilty when I lock them in all night soon.
Powder Puff got a good scratch. He's a kinky little beast!

My guys seem to go trough about a bale and half of hay each day, so your guys' consumption is pretty close. Tucker is staying in at night due to the mud around the barn and that darn shoe....he doesn't seem to mind too much.
Actually, it sounds as if Radar was better than he's been indoors for the most part. At least he didn't threaten to crash into the walls. *G* Jazz was, apparently, ever the gentleman. What a good boy he is becoming!
Haylage weighs a lot more than hay Jean, they are probably eating 40 kilos between them and also have ad lib access to grass and a hard feed too! They are eating like horses :-)
