Come HERE!
Campero was very obviously sound as I trecked up and down the field to catch him this morning. I turned him out in a blocked muzzle for half an hour while I did the chores and he wasn't keen to come back in, to say the least. I fooled him with food in the end :-) He now only appears lame on a tight circle on hard ground, or when he treads on a large stone. His off fore, the one which was worse and got better quickest, now has a sole that I can't dent with my fingers. The near fore is catching up, thicker and harder than it was but I can still bend it.
More later but I was so pleased with his progress this morning that I wanted to let everyone know. If he's sound enough to run away he's sound enough to be ridden!

Cheeky boy, he's alwayd been a bit dim about being caught and never been tricky. I'm not sure that's my horse you've got there at all - it's an imposter! Mine doesn't jump gates, or run through fencing, or play hard to get!
He's having a personality change along with his feet! At least he feels good enough to be cheeky, and isn't just standing around, glum, with sore feet. That's how he had got with me, and why I was reaching the end of the line with him. So, we must see all these wayward traits as improvement, don't you think?? ;0)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggh!! Bastards have nicked my car!
It has been stolen off my yard within the last hour. In spite of cameras and lights they came into the house at about 7 o'clock, while I was feeding the horses in the yard and took my keys off the rack. SH was in the house. When I came back in, they drove off in the car. It's a white Prius MJ56 KZK and it will be in Cheshire, Derbyshire, Stafforshire or Manchester area right now.
They have my keys to our other car too, so we hve to change the keys and locks before they come back to steal that one. Heaven knows how much this is going to cost us to rekey an electronic ignition car, hundreds and hundreds. And to replace a very low milage pristine Prius - impossible.
And joy of joys. It's my birthday.

Oh bloody hell, what a complete sodding nuisance. And the nerve of it! Will the insurance pay for the lock change on the other car? They should, or they'll be paying out to replace it anyway!

Oh my gosh!! That is soooo scary. In the house yet to get the keys first? They had to have been hanging around checking things out beforehand. Get those locks changed immediately.
I am very sorry your birthday has to be ruined by something like this. What a nightmare. And you're right, the insurance never pays for a new car, just the value of what your "used" car is worth. Bummer.
Now... a Prius? We can only hope perhaps the US Toyota curse will strike the thieves and the car will run off with them terrifying them into submission. IT would serve them right.
I can hardly respond to the good news about Campo, I am so upset.
All I can do is send you hugs and hope, along with evil vibes for the thieves.
Oh, that's just horrid. What a nerve to just come in whilst you were there like that. Do you have dogs? Perhaps a nice big rottweiler might be a good addition to your family.

It is over £1000 to replace the car door locks, ingnition and immobiliser on the Aygo that they have the one key for. Thank goodness we have protected no claims, but it is still going to cost us the £300 excess.
The policement who came this morning said there were three last night and they are in the middle of a complete spate of sneak-in thefts. At least we aren't alone!

why do folk have to take things that don't belong to them? why haven't they been brought up to respect the propery of others?
wonder if you will "meet" them in the course of your magistrating?
hope you get your car back - and in one piece too, just a bl**dy injustice that YOU have to pay because someone else stole your property.
