Temper temper!
Tee hee. Radar tried to nap back to home today. If he thinks he can get away with that he needs to have a little chat with Jazzy! He signals his intentions an aeeeeon before he puts them into action. And he turns about as quickly as a battleship :-) It was so easy to stop him and send him on it was quite funny.
He was taking exception to me requiring him to walk with his back engaged and decided to try throwing his toys out of his pram and go home, instead of going forward to the contact. Of course it didn't work and we came to an agreement which was 75% in my direction, and had a very nice hack back home. I left the 25% to him because he is, after all, still only a baby and quite confused about this "contact" and "self-carriage" thing :-)

I am pretty sure Radar was not amused, even if you were. *lol* Apparently he isn't too determined to have his way since you were able to control him. Maybe you shouldn't teach him to be too quick on his feet, eh? Might not work to your advantage down the road. *G*
Nice picture of Jazz in the shoulder-in. His trot looks nice and active.
Little negative here and there...you will present him much better if you square your shoulders. That will also encourage him to carry himself even better than he does. In your mind's eye, make your body shape into the elegant upright carriage you want from him. That will help your seat balance him even more.
Can you see how I drop my broken shoulder more than my right one Jean? I have a huge extra piece of muscle next to my neck, too!

Any chance of some physical therapy to help straighten you out? It would help your dressage riding considerably. Maybe you could find some exercises to do on your own.
I am definitely crooked to the right myself, but I have learned to sit up better. Mirrors would help a lot, though, because then I could check my position. I constantly need to say to myself, "lift your core and look up." *sigh* Will it never end, all this fixing?
But that's what makes it worth carring on year after year, isn't it :-) ?

Oomph has never been in short supply with Jazz :-) He climbed onto the straw bales again yesterday in protest at having to share the barn with another horse to start with.
I just try to paint a picture other people can "see" ER, I'm glad you like it.
Funnily enough, Nic, I sit all the time now and hardly ever notice just how big it is any more.
