A really fun day!

I rode Jazz at home, inside because of the continuing gales, before taking Zipster and Georgie to a friend's house to play. He was lovely, just lovely. Inside the tiny confines of the barn, cantering the bends and trotting the straights. Trot/halt/trot too. His transitions are fabulous - sharp and off the smallest possible aid. We finished on some trot travers which he was finding soooo difficult and then gave his best shot, accompanied by the moans and groans we are used to when he feels put-upon :-). It was a very, very good effort, so we stopped. Cassie would be delighted - i gave him a long rein and he was stretching so far that he was scraping his nose on the floor!

The we loaded the other two and off we set. A muffin at McDonalds to keep us going because we knew that lunch would be late, and then to play! The wind was absolutely howling. It was blowing bits of tree all over the place, and the arena surface was blowing off down the road. But both George and Zippy concentrated wonderfully.

My friend loved George and she is right when she says that he looks a different and altogether more classy horse with a rider on board. I only have photos of Zip, but I think you will agree that they confirm what a stunning horse he is going to be when full grown. None of this is "schooled", it is simply his natural movement. Here we go:

pps I got a couple of canter too - yes he always sits like that. And he can sustain it too, and in spite of the look of photo number two, it is calm and slow. I don't sit yet, but I will now I've seen how much bigger he is looking.
