This is him if you want to see. He also has a lovely line to the top of his neck, even though the rest of him is very backward. With work, his neck should be spectacular.

OK. Lovely head and expression. (Reminds me a bit of PJ. If so, he is a definite keeper!!)
Good shoulder and neck set well in balance.
A little light in the back right now, but that is a combination of lack of food--can see his ribs, and lack of muscle, as well as his immaturity. I say that because he has a good shape and angle of his croup with plenty of room for development.
Nice back length. Not too long, so when he grows you won't have to contend with working "two horses" at the same time trying to get him together.
Can't see the leg straightness, but he looks good in that department from the angles shown. You are the best judge of that.
Quick guesstimate from the picture gives him at least a hand of growing yet to do. Do you have a stepladder available? *G*

If he looks half as good in person he is a gem. The price is really good for a horse with such potential--just estimating a conversion to US dollars. Any bargaining room? Either way, it's a real deal.
I say...except I am hung up on his PJ expression...go for it!! I think you have a real winner here.
Another thought...you can start a baby like this off on the long lines. Trust me on this. Once you have gotten him solidly on the aids in the lines, once you get on, it's practically like riding a trained horse.
Long lining can be from the side, behind or on the center as double lunging. I started both Toby and Tucker that way. It develops muscles, topline, steering and stopping without the weight of the rider.
You just have to be conscious of not overdoing the circles to put too much strain on the joints. I'd be doing a lot more of it with Chance if he weren't such a doggone fun ride out on the trail.

Straightness - one forefoot turns out a miniscule amount but it might be foot trimming. If not, it's so slight it's not worth worrying about. He moves straight.
Height - he is certainly as big as advertised and I would think 16.3 would be a minimum fully grown height. Now Ms Tia would be staying if she were that size!
I think he's cheap Jean, which is one of the reasons I am so interested, I never can resist a bargain :-) I spoke to the owner last night and she was definitely on tenterhooks for me to ring back - I think she may be short of a bob or two and needing some money. If so, I would reckon to pay £3,300 for him and at that he's a steal with his breeding and movement. He doesn't look it right now, but it's all there and if other people can't see it then that's just my good luck, isn't it?
Jean I'm so pleased for you that Chance is fun to hack out. I think it does a three year old no harm at all to be hacking out and not schooling, so you just enjoy yourself!!
