More growing up to do.
I went out for a hack this morning on Tia. There was a bitterly cold wind but I put my scarf on under my hat to keep my ears and face warm, and off we went. She was the best she has ever been :- ) She’s obviously finding it easier and easier to keep her shoulders up, and that means that she can keep her back loose and swinging. When she does that she has an absolutely lovely walk. Her trot on the road has improved too. I do find that I have to constantly remind her to keep the shoulders up, and in particular to bring the right one forward to match the left. But a few weeks ago she was having real trouble doing it for long at all, and now she can do it, with reminders (halt mostly, but sometimes a jog forwards) for a whole ride. It’s making her feel like the big horse she really is.
Talking of big horses, I think Tetley used to produce growth suppressant. It’s funny, but since he left the other two have both been growing like topsy and now seem huge :- ) :-) :- )
Jazz was fine today but the high wind stopped any loading practice. We are planning a short trip without unloading tomorrow and I hope the weather will let that go ahead. I didn’t work him because we wanted to go for a walk over lunch, but he still appears to be struggling with coming to terms with the fact that I won't let him do exactly what he wants. He keeps looking puzzled, and mighty offended if he gets told off for anything!

Funny how our perceptions can change. Chance seems so small but I used to ride horses 15.1 all the time and they fit just fine. When your regular mount is 16.3, it puts things in a different perspective. *lol*
Good for Tia. She just keeps proving herself more and more each ride.
Your comment about the cold sent a chill trough me. It's still pleasant here, but I know the winter is coming. I hope I can keep myself motivated to ride when the weather finally turns. *sigh*
